you’ll need to complete all steps for this to work.
The phone has a 4 way directional ‘Navi’ key and 2 soft keys either side of this.
To insert the required symbol (e.g. : / . @) into your settings, simply press the 1 button till the required symbol appears.
1. Press ‘Menu‘ (Navi Key).
2. Highlight ‘Messages’ and press Select (Left Soft Key).
3. Highlight ‘Options’ and press Select (Left Soft Key).
4. Highlight ‘MMS’ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
5. Highlight ‘Store Sent Msgs’ and press Select (Left Soft Key). Highlight ‘Deactivate‘ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
6. Highlight ‘Retrieval Mode’ and press Select (Left Soft Key). Highlight ‘Home Network‘ and press OK (Left Soft Key). Then Highlight ‘Automatic’ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
7. Highlight ‘Priority’ and press Select (Left Soft Key). Highlight ‘Normal’ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
8. Ignore ‘Request Delivery Report’
9. Highlight ‘Period of Validity’ and press Select (Left Soft Key). Highlight ‘Maximum’ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
10. Highlight ‘Advanced Settings’ and press Select (Left Soft Key).
11. Ignore ‘Send Delivery Report’.
12. Highlight ‘MMS Ignore’ and press Select (Left Soft Key). Highlight ‘No’ and press OK (Left Soft Key)
13. Highlight ‘MMS Server’ and press Select (Left Soft Key).
14. Highlight ‘Menu’ and press Select (Left Soft Key)
15. Highlight ‘Add’ and press OK (Left Soft Key). Enter ‘giffgaff MMS’ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
16. Highlight ‘giffgaff MMS’ and press Options (Left Soft key).
17. Highlight ‘Modify’ and press OK (Left Soft key).
18. Highlight ‘MMS Server’ and press OK (Left Soft Key). Enter ‘http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002‘ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
19. Highlight ‘Preferred Connection’ and press OK (Right Soft Key). Highlight ‘GPRS‘ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
20. Ignore ‘GSM Parameters’
21. Highlight ‘GPRS Parameters’ and press Options (Left Soft Key).
22. Highlight ‘Login’ and press OK (Left Soft Key). Enter ‘giffgaff‘ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
23. Highlight ‘Password‘ and press OK (Left Soft Key). Enter ‘password’ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
24. Highlight ‘IP Address’ and press OK (Left Soft Key). Enter ‘193.113.200.195’ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
25. Highlight ‘Port Type’ and press OK (Left Soft Key). Highlight ‘Non-secure’ and press OK (Left Soft Key)
26. Highlight ‘APN‘ and press OK (Left Soft Key). Enter ‘payandgo.o2.co.uk’ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
27. Press Back (Right Soft Key) 4 times.
28. Ignore ‘Display Bcc’
29. Highlight ‘Sender Visibility’ and press Select (Left Soft Key). Highlight ‘Activate‘ and press OK (Left Soft Key).
30. Ignore ‘Max size’
31. Press Back (Right Soft Key) 4 times to return to standby screen.
The MMS settings are now complete.
