I have a Nokia N8 phone that needs to be paired to a Tom-Tom. So that Tom-Tom can be used as headset for the phone. When I try to pair the phone with the tom-tom, the connection seems to work. I have to enter the pin-code, and the phone says the connection is established. I see a car-icon on the phone. The tom-tom however doesn’t agree, and after a while says the connection couldn’t be established. I can connect the N8 to other phones and send pictures to the other phones. It seems I’m not the only one with Bluetooth problems with the N8.

Set up your phone as normal.
This is the only line of text I could find to help any where on the net and it was so true.
“The problem was my email program was using a connection, so when I disconnected it my Tom-tom connection was allowed”
I have now set my tom-tom 1005 up 2 times and all is working very well after it went down today and I am thinking it was just an app had taken control so I will know next time to just click on “Widgets to offline mode”
I hope his will work for you as well 🙂 Good luck
